How to hire a Nanny
Either fill out our online client application or call one of our offices to begin the process. If you send an online application one of counselors will call to speak with you in detail about your needs. Instead of a lengthy written application, we feel that we get to know the family better with a personal conversation. This conversation will help us understand your needs and what kind of nanny you are looking for. We are also happy to answer any questions about our agency, process, fees, and applicants at this time.
There is no fee to place a job order with The Lindquist Group. Fees are due only if we place a nanny with your family.
Upon receipt of your job order we will send you a copy of our fee agreement. Once this is signed and returned to us, we can begin your search and start sending you resumes and references for qualified candidates.
After you have reviewed candidates' paperwork, we will help coordinate interviews with candidates of interest. For out-of-town candidates we will start with a phone interview. For local candidates, an in-person interview is best.
When you find a candidate(s) you are seriously considering, we will coordinate a short 1-2 day trial with the candidate.
After settling on the candidate you wish to hire, we will order a background check that includes a criminal and driving history screening. Credit checks are also available.
After an offer of employment is made and accepted, The Lindquist Group can assist with creating a nanny work agreement between employer and employee that covers salary, hours, job responsibilities, confidentiality, and many other topics of importance to ensure that the family/nanny working relationship is positive and productive for the long term.
